Ordering Toner in Denver Just got Easier!

When ordering toner, most companies are used to a process that looks like this… Current printer runs out of supplies, shoots out an error on the screen half way through the job.  Then customer realizes they really need to finish that job, they call toner supplier and try and get stuff overnight or same day.

This process is antiquated because there are technologies which make this completely unnecessary.

  1. There us tracking software that can notify us both BEFORE the toner runs out.
  2. Ordering can happen with an easy desktop ordering oping right on your desktop.
  3. Toner companies can keep some of these items in stock for you so that you don’t have to stock everything under the sun.

If your toner ordering process in Denver is a pain, or you are paying too much, please give us a call so we can help you out today!

The Hardest Cartridges to Remanufacturer

Challenging Toner Production

Anyone who sells toner, remanufactures toner or deals with a lot of printers knows there are a few cartridges which are notoriously a huge pain to remanufacture well.  The ones that we see which have the biggest issues (and have made us switch suppliers based on quality concerns) are the HP Color Laserjet 5500, HP Color Laserjet 5550, and the HP Laserjet 9000 series cartridges.

As you break these cartridges apart to pun in a new drum and new wiper blades, you almost have to put back together a swiss clock.  There are many challenges, and if a remanufacturer does not have dedicated employees for the build of these cartridges.

What do we do to help deal with these issues?

  • We track these cartridges to make sure our suppliers have reasonable defective rates for these.  We assume a 2% to be acceptable failure rate on these.
  • We make sure the remanufacturers will also guarantee the printer if the cartridge itself causes printer damage
  • We go to the factories and distribution centers from time to time to check their quality
  • We use ISO certified companies for our suppliers.  ISO guarantees a consistent PROCESS, not necessarily a good product, but if we find a company that seems to have a good product and they are ISO certified, we generally will keep getting good products.

What to do in a Toner Emergency

Got Toner?

Got Toner?

It is Friday at 3PM and you have some flyers you need to get out for the weekend.  You start printing and then you see that your toner cartridge or imaging unit is out.  You hop online, and find a site like ours and then you think you should call to see if you can get some toner because these flyers have got to be done.  We will likely have the toner if it an HP, Xerox or Lexmark printer…  some other brands are hit and miss…  So what do you do?  Obviously call everyone and see if you can find some toner, right? Wrong!

You have an expensive piece of equipment and you don’t want what is called a toner bomb.  What are some things you should do to make sure your situation does not go from bad to worse?

  1. Ask Questions.  What is your warranty if the toner explodes in my printer or causes my printer to break? Can I get this in writing? Do you remanufacture your own toner cartridges or does someone else do it for you? (Generally it is better if someone else does it for them because companies are generally good at selling toner or making toner, they generally are not good at both.
  2. Get references
  3. Check pricing (some reps will sense your desperation and charge you for it.) You can simply go to Office Depot, CDW, or Staples to see what national companies are charging for this product.

After these steps, call us for your toner needs in Denver!

Are All Toner Sales Reps the Devil?

Which is Your Toner Supplier

Which is Your Toner Supplier

I work in a bad industry.  Most customers do not like people in my business.  In fact, behind car sales and drug dealers, I believe people who sell toner cartridges in Denver are the next most loved.  Why are we so hated?  Mainly because there are so many people who ruin it for us all.  I would guess for every call you get in regards to your toner from a legitimate company, you probably get 3 from people who are making us look bad.  It’s a tough business, but you still need toner in Denver and why not buy from us?  We thought it would be good to come up with a “you should” list in regards to your toner purchases in Denver.

  1. You should buy local — This helps our local economy as well as gives you the chance to actually meet with, talk to and work with a company if you get a bad batch.  It is good for you because we know you might show up at our office in Denver, Lakewood, Golden, Boulder, Fort Collins or where ever we might be.
  2. You should buy from someone who will guarantee the printer if your toner cartridge causes damage to your printer
  3. You should buy from someone who meets with you and looks at how you structure your office, not someone who tries to give you one free cartridge and then expects lifelong loyalty
  4. You should buy from someone with competitive prices.  Not the lowest, necessarily, a lot of the lowest priced cartridges are priced low for a definate reason
  5. You should call us for a quote on your HP toner, Xerox toner or Lexmark toner needs!

HP Color Laserjet 5550 Color Cartridges, OEM or Compatibles?

What to buy?

What to buy?

We have had so many people complain that the compatibles for their HP ColorLaserjet 5550 they have bought from their current supplier have had poor print quality or, even worse, ruined their HP ColorLaserjet 555o, we had to ask our suppliers why this is.

Even our suppliers will acknowledge that the HP ColorLaserjet 5550 and the HP Laserjet 9000 Series are the 2 cartridges that are the most difficult to re-manufacturer. Every supplier experiences 2 to3 times more failures on this cartridge than they do on say a HP Laserjet 4000 series.  There are complications with the seals and the casing that are not present with other cartridges.  For an excellent supplier, this may mean there is a 2% to 3% failure rate on this cartridge.  For a marginal supplier, this percentage could reach 10% or more.

So, back to the question… OEM or compatible?  When should you look at either option?

You should buy OEM (HP) cartridges when:

  1. Quality is the most important thing.
  2. When failure rates need to be around 1% or less
  3. You print low coverage and a ton of pages

You should buy compatibles when:

  1. The company not only warranties their cartridge, but your printer if the cartridge causes issues
  2. When price is the biggest issue

We hope this helps.  We can supply either to you, we just wanted you to be aware of the current issues with toners from HP!

Are Climbing Supplies Costs Killing You?

Climbing Supplies Costs Killing Your Bottom Line?

Climbing Supplies Costs Killing Your Bottom Line?

Toner in Denver has gotten more expensive…that’s because toner prices everywhere have been increasing.   If you’re in a copier contract, you’ve no doubt noticed the 5% or more increase per year your lease has increased.   This is due partly to copier companys’ greed, but mostly it’s due to toner costs.

Since toner is a petroleum-based product housed inside a plastic container, rising oil prices directly affect the cost of your toner in Denver.   Buying remanufactured (using virgin drums and wiper blades) or compatible toner in Denver can substantially offset the OEM toner cartridge price increase.   With budgets being trimmed, looking for alternatives to large office supplies chains is becoming much more common.   Small businesses are looking for local retailers who will stand behind their product and provide more value for their dollar.

Our products are either the same or superior in quality and warranty to those of Staples, Office Depot, and other retail stores.  When customers ask about quality differences in toner between toner retailers and online mega stores, I usually have to reply: “you get what you pay for.”   If you’re looking for high-quality, a bullet proof warranty, and quality customer service, you’re probably going to be most interested in buying from a local Denver retailer with a proven track record of exellent customer service…Like us!   Give us a call for your toner needs here in Denver.

Buying Toner Locally Is Good For You and Your Business!

Downtown Denver Colorado Skyline showing Cathedral and Office Sk

I was comparing our toner prices here at Pahoda Image Products with those of the big guys (Staples, Office Depot, etc.), and I was very happy to see that we consistently beat them by around %10 on OEM and even more on compatible toner.   We carry a full range of supplies like HP toner, Lexmark Toner, Xerox Toner, Cannon Toner, Ricoh Toner, and most others.   Our delivery costs for established and large customers are always free.   And, if there is an issue with the toner, cartridge number, or questions, you are able to call and get assistance from a real person!

Probably the best thing about buying toner locally is that you have the ability to call and get a replacement the same day if you have a bad toner cartridge.   This doesn’t happen often, but like car insurance, when something goes wrong, you find out how good of a company you’re working with!

Another good feature of buying from a local toner supplier is that you know who you’re buying from.   The toner you’re purchasing is warrantied, and your local Denver toner company has their reputation on the line for getting it fixed for you!   An online megastore doesn’t have a lot to gain or lose from your satisfaction.   Your Denver toner supplier does!   It puts you in a better position, and it keeps us accountable for making sure we only sell quality printing products.   We love talking to you, and your questions will be answered thouroughly and promptly.   Give us a call for all of your Front Range, Denver Toner needs!
